Earlier this May, ASEE' Live team joined product leaders and practitioners from across Europe at ProductWorld Europe. It is a a leading conference dedicated to innovation in product management. Held in Opatija, Croatia, this two-day event brought together professionals working on digital products. The goal was to exchange ideas and share hands-on experiences in the fast-evolving product landscape.
Domagoj Mihaljević, Product Manager at ASEE, took the stage to present a behind-the-scenes look at how we’re transforming our product development approach. His talk focused on the internal changes we've implemented to increase delivery speed, improve collaboration, and put customer needs at the center of every decision.
In this blog, we’re taking a closer look at the story Domagoj shared, offering a broader view of how Live is reshaping its product development strategy and what that means for our customers, teams, and future direction.
Product development is never static—it evolves alongside user expectations, market shifts, and technological capabilities. Over the past year, the Live team has undergone a structured transition in how we develop, test, and deliver new features. This shift wasn't sparked by a single challenge, but rather a growing realization that speed and responsiveness are no longer optional. They're essential.
Domagoj’s presentation at ProductWorld Europe unpacked this shift in detail. He explained how our new product development strategy is designed to eliminate unnecessary delays, reduce misalignment, and enable faster, more meaningful improvements. But the transformation didn’t happen overnight—it required deliberate changes to how our teams work, how we gather feedback, and how we prioritize initiatives.
One of the most immediate results of our new strategy has been faster feature delivery. By streamlining internal processes and reducing dependencies between teams, we’ve been able to shorten development cycles without compromising on quality.
This means customers don’t have to wait as long for updates or new capabilities. Instead of large, infrequent releases, we’re now able to introduce improvements more regularly—keeping our solutions aligned with user needs and industry trends.
Another critical part of this transformation has been fostering closer collaboration between departments—product, development, QA, support, and even sales. Domagoj highlighted how cross-functional cooperation plays a key role in building better products: when everyone is working toward the same goal, with a shared understanding of what users need, progress becomes smoother and more efficient.
We’ve placed greater emphasis on transparent communication, regular alignment meetings, and shared ownership of product outcomes. As a result, teams are more engaged, and decisions are made faster and with more clarity.
Perhaps the most important aspect of the new strategy is its customer-first mindset. Our development process is now more responsive to feedback—whether it comes from support tickets, user interviews, or analytics.
Instead of building features based solely on internal roadmaps, we’re aligning priorities with real user challenges. The aim is to ensure that every sprint contributes to making the product more intuitive, more valuable, and more aligned with the way our users work.
While the results have been positive, Domagoj was also clear about the fact that this shift came with its own set of challenges.
Moving from a traditional approach to a more agile, user-centric process required a mindset shift across the team. It meant letting go of habits that had become familiar and stepping into a more iterative, feedback-driven rhythm. There were bumps along the way—uncertainty, re-learning, trial and error—but each one offered an opportunity to grow and improve.
By acknowledging these hurdles and working through them collaboratively, the Live team has built a more resilient foundation for the future.
One of the key messages of Domagoj’s presentation was simple but powerful: there’s no going back.
The progress we’ve made—whether in speed, collaboration, or customer alignment—isn’t temporary. It marks a new standard for how we operate. And while there’s still room to grow, we’re moving forward with confidence, equipped with the lessons we’ve learned and a clear vision of what’s next.
The conference setting offered a valuable opportunity not just to present our story, but to hear how other teams across Europe are solving similar challenges. Conversations after the session confirmed that we’re not alone in this journey. Many organizations are grappling with how to move faster, listen better, and deliver more value. It was encouraging to see that while everyone’s path is different, the underlying goals are shared.
Being part of ProductWorld Europe was a reminder of why continuous improvement matters. In a space where technology evolves rapidly and user expectations rise even faster, staying still isn’t an option.
At Live, we’re committed to building solutions that aren’t just functional, but meaningful. That commitment is reflected in how we organize our teams, how we prioritize work, and how we measure success.
As we move forward, we’ll continue to refine our approach—staying focused on delivering value, embracing challenges, and listening closely to the people who use our products every day.
